Meaning

认为不值得；形容轻视、看不起的样子。

to think something is not worth doing; to disdain, to scorn.

常用来表示对某人或某事物持否定、轻视的态度，后面可接动词短语或名词。

Often used to express a negative, dismissing attitude towards someone or something, followed by a verb phrase or noun.

1 他对这种低级趣味的电影不屑一顾。 (He dismisses such lowbrow movies with disdain.)
2 她不屑于和这种人争论。 (She disdains to argue with such people.)
3 面对流言蜚语，他只是不屑地笑了笑。 (Faced with gossip, he just smiled contemptuously.)
4 这些细节他根本不放在眼里，一脸不屑的神情。 (He doesn't care about these details at all, with a look of disdain.)
5 他自视甚高，对平凡的工作不屑去做。 (He thinks too highly of himself to be bothered with ordinary work.)
