表示不会达到某种程度或发生某种情况。

Indicates that something is unlikely to reach a certain level or occur.

Usage

常用于表达某事情不会严重到某人想象的程度，或某情况不会发生。

Often used to express that something is not as serious as someone imagines, or that a situation will not occur.

Examples

  • 1 他就算生气，也不至于打人吧。 (Even if he is angry, he wouldn't go so far as to hit someone.)
  • 2 这点小错误，不至于被开除。 (Such a small mistake wouldn't lead to being fired.)
