Definition

原指把骨、象牙、玉、石等加工成器物，引申为在学问、技艺等方面互相讨论、研究，取长补短。

Originally refers to the processing of bone, ivory, jade, stone, etc. into artifacts, extended to mean mutual discussion, study, and learning from each other in learning, skills, etc.

Usage

多用于表示双方或多方在学术、技艺、见解等方面进行交流探讨，共同提高。

Often used to indicate that two or more parties exchange and discuss ideas in academics, skills, opinions, etc., to improve together.
