Definition

味觉是指食物在口腔内对味觉器官化学感受系统的刺激并产生的一种感觉。

Taste is the sensation produced when food stimulates the chemical sensory system of the taste organs in the mouth.

Usage

通常用来描述对味道的感知能力,也可引申为对事物细微差别的辨别能力。

It is usually used to describe the ability to perceive flavors, and can also be extended to the ability to discern subtle differences in things.
