Meaning

形容学识浅薄，见识不广。

Ignorant and ill-informed; having little knowledge or experience.

用于谦称自己见识少，或批评他人见识短浅。常作自谦之词。

Used to modestly refer to one's own limited knowledge, or to criticize others for being narrow-minded. Often used as a self-deprecating term.

1 我孤陋寡闻，从未听说过这个地方。(I am ignorant and have never heard of this place.)
2 他孤陋寡闻，对世界大事一无所知。(He is ill-informed and knows nothing about world affairs.)
3 你别笑我孤陋寡闻，这真的是我第一次见到这种水果。(Don't laugh at my ignorance; this is really the first time I've seen this fruit.)
