Definition
明白事理,懂得为人处世和处理事情。
Sensible, mature, and understanding; knowing how to act appropriately.
Usage
常用于形容小孩或年轻人行为得体、体贴他人,也用于成年人表示其通情达理。
Often used to describe children or young people who behave well and are considerate, or adults who are reasonable and understanding.
Examples
- 1 她是个懂事的孩子,从不给父母添麻烦。(She is a sensible child and never causes trouble for her parents.)
- 2 你这么懂事,我真为你骄傲。(You are so mature; I am really proud of you.)
- 3 他年纪不大但很懂事,知道照顾别人。(He is young but very mature and knows how to take care of others.)
- 4 员工们都很懂事,主动加班完成任务。(The employees are all very understanding and voluntarily worked overtime to complete the task.)
- 5 这孩子真懂事,看到妈妈累了就帮忙做家务。(This child is so sensible; when he saw his mother was tired, he helped with the housework.)
