指物品因达到使用年限、损坏严重或技术落后等原因，不能再继续使用，需要废弃或回收处理。

通常用于描述车辆、机械设备、电子产品、文件等无法继续使用，需要淘汰或回收。也可用于比喻，如人的身体或精力耗尽。
