Definition
没有缘分;没有机会;指事物之间没有联系或无法相遇。
No fate; no opportunity; indicating a lack of connection between things or inability to meet.
Usage
常用于表达人与人之间没有缘分,或者无法得到某事物,也可用于表示没有机会做某事。
Often used to express that there is no fate between people, or that one cannot obtain something, or to indicate having no chance to do something.
Examples
- 1 我们俩无缘,最终还是分手了。 (The two of us had no fate, and finally broke up.)
- 2 这次旅行我无缘参加,因为工作太忙。 (I have no chance to join this trip because I am too busy with work.)
- 3 他无缘冠军,只得了第二名。 (He missed the championship and only got second place.)
- 4 这个缘分来之不易,我们不要轻易说无缘。 (This fate is hard-won; we should not easily say there is no fate.)
- 5 无缘无故地发脾气是不对的。 (Losing your temper for no reason is not right.)
