Definition

指液体缓慢地穿过或渗入物体；也比喻一种事物或势力逐渐进入其他方面。

To permeate; to infiltrate; to seep into; also metaphorically for influence or ideas gradually entering.

Usage

可用于物理渗漏，也可用于抽象概念如思想、文化、势力等的逐渐侵入或传播。

Can be used for physical seepage, or abstractly for gradual intrusion or spread of ideas, cultures, influences, etc.
