繁体字是指汉字的一种书写形式，笔画较多、结构复杂，相对于简体字而言。主要在中国台湾、香港、澳门以及部分海外华人社区使用。

Traditional Chinese characters refer to a form of Chinese writing with more strokes and complex structures, as opposed to simplified characters. They are mainly used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and some overseas Chinese communities.

“繁体字”常用于讨论汉字的两种书写系统（简体与繁体）的区别，或在涉及中文语言文化、历史文献、书法艺术等语境中使用。
