指凭空编造，并非真实存在或发生的事情。

Fabrication; something that is made up or invented, not real.

常用于文学创作中指想象性构建，也可用于质疑某事的真实性。

Often used in literary creation to refer to imaginative construction, or to question the authenticity of something.

1 这部小说完全是虚构的，与历史事实无关。 (This novel is completely fictional and has nothing to do with historical facts.)
2 你别相信他的话，那都是虚构的谎言。 (Don't believe him; those are all fabricated lies.)
