Definition

指做事合乎道理，自然就能成功。

To follow reason, and it becomes natural; to do things logically and smoothly.

Usage

用于形容事情发展自然、合乎情理，或文章条理清晰。

Used to describe a natural and logical development of events, or a well-organized piece of writing.

Examples

  • 1 只要努力学习，考出好成绩是顺理成章的事。（As long as you study hard, getting good grades is a natural outcome.）
  • 2 他工作多年，升职加薪也是顺理成章。（After working for many years, his promotion and raise came naturally.）
  • 3 文章开头提出问题，后面分析原因，最后给出建议，这样写很顺理成章。（The article starts with a question, then analyzes causes, and finally offers suggestions; this writing is very logical.）
  • 4 他平时热心助人，当选社区代表顺理成章。（He usually helps others enthusiastically, so his election as community representative is only natural.）
