Definition
不得不:表示由于客观情况或外力迫使,必须做某事,没有选择的余地。 只好:表示没有别的办法或更好的选择,只能这样做,带有无奈或勉强的语气。
不得不 (bùdébù): Means having to do something due to objective circumstances or external force, with no alternative. 只好 (zhǐhǎo): Means that there is no other way or better choice, so one can only do this, often with a tone of reluctance or resignation.
Usage
不得不:强调客观必然性,语气较强,常用于陈述无法避免的情况。 只好:强调主观选择的结果,语气较柔和,常用于日常口语中,表示退而求其次。
