Definition

表示假设关系的连词结构，意思是“如果...就...”。

A conjunction structure expressing hypothetical relationship, meaning 'if...then...'.

Usage

用于提出一个条件，并说明在该条件下会发生的结果。通常“要是”引出条件，“就”引出结果。

Used to propose a condition and state the result that will occur under that condition. Usually '要是' introduces the condition and '就' introduces the result.

Examples

  • 1 要是明天不下雨，我们就去公园。 (If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we will go to the park.)
  • 2 要是你早点起床，就不会迟到了。 (If you wake up earlier, you won't be late.)
  • 3 要是我有钱，我就买一辆车。 (If I had money, I would buy a car.)
  • 4 要是他来了，你就叫他等我一下。 (If he comes, you tell him to wait for me.)
  • 5 要是你不喜欢这个颜色，就换一个吧。 (If you don't like this color, then change it.)
