Definition

Double negation is a grammatical phenomenon where two negative words are used in a sentence to express an affirmative meaning. Common structures include '' (it's not that...not), '' (cannot not), '' (cannot but), etc., often used for emphasis, euphemism, or expressing necessity.

Usage
