Definition
表示程度加深,相当于“更加”。“更”和“还”都可用于比较,但“还”常用于否定或强调。
Indicates a higher degree, equivalent to 'even more'. Both 更 and 还 can be used in comparisons, but 还 is often used in negatives or for emphasis.
Usage
“更”直接放在形容词或动词前,构成“更 + 形容词/动词”结构。“还”也类似,但有时带强调语气,比如“比……还……”结构。注意:“还”用于比较时,句子通常为否定或反问句,或者用于“比...还...”结构。
更 is placed directly before an adjective or verb: 更 + adjective/verb. 还 is similar but sometimes carries emphasis, e.g., in the structure '比……还……'. Note: when 还 is used in comparisons, the sentence is often negative or rhetorical, or it uses the '比...还...' pattern.
