Definition

表示在任何条件下结果或情况都不会改变，相当于英语的“no matter”。

Indicates that the result or situation will not change under any condition, equivalent to 'no matter' in English.

Usage

通常与疑问词如“谁”、“什么”、“哪里”、“怎么”等连用，构成“不论+疑问词+都/也”的结构，表示无条件。

Usually used with question words like 'who', 'what', 'where', 'how' etc., forming a 'búlùn + question word + dōu/yě' structure to express unconditionality.

Examples

  • 1 不论谁来了，都要先敲门。 (No matter who comes, they must knock first.)
  • 2 不论你说什么，我都不会改变主意。 (No matter what you say, I won't change my mind.)
  • 3 不论在哪里，我都会记得你。 (No matter where I am, I will remember you.)
  • 4 不论怎么努力，他都无法成功。 (No matter how hard he tries, he cannot succeed.)
