Definition
表示“怪不得”,常用于表达对某种情况的理解,认为结果很正常,因为之前有原因。也可作“值得奇怪”的否定,表示不奇怪。
No wonder; used to express understanding of a situation, indicating that a result is natural given a preceding cause. It can also be used to mean 'not surprising'.
Usage
常用于口语中,放在句首或句中。通常有两种用法:1. 表示“怪不得”,对某事的发生不感到奇怪,因为已经知道原因。2. 表示“不应该责怪”,但现代汉语中较少用。主要用法是第一种。结构:难怪 + 句子。也可以说“这也难怪”等。
Commonly used in spoken language, placed at the beginning or middle of a sentence. Usually two usages: 1. 'no wonder' - not surprised about something because the reason is known. 2. 'should not blame' but less common. Main usage is the first. Structure: 难怪 + sentence. Also '这也难怪' etc.
Examples
- 1 看到窗外的雨,难怪他带伞了。(Seeing the rain outside, no wonder he brought an umbrella.)
- 2 难怪他今天这么开心,原来他升职了。(No wonder he is so happy today, he got promoted.)
- 3 他学习很努力,难怪成绩这么好。(He studies very hard, no wonder his grades are so good.)
- 4 难怪这个菜这么好吃,原来是大厨做的。(No wonder this dish is so delicious, it was made by a great chef.)
- 5 你刚从海边回来?难怪你皮肤这么黑。(You just came back from the beach? No wonder your skin is so tanned.)
