Definition

"一方面"用于引出某一事物的一个方面或一个角度，常与"另一方面"搭配使用，表示并列或对比的两个方面。

"一方面" (yī fāngmiàn) is used to introduce one aspect or angle of a topic, often paired with "另一方面" to indicate two parallel or contrasting aspects.

Usage

通常用于句首或句中，引出第一个方面，后面常跟"另一方面"引出第二个方面。也可以单独使用，表示"从某个角度看"。

It is usually placed at the beginning or middle of a sentence to introduce the first aspect, often followed by "另一方面" for the second aspect. It can also be used alone to mean 'from one perspective'.

Examples

  • 1 选择这个专业，一方面是因为兴趣，另一方面是因为就业前景好。 (Choosing this major, on the one hand because of interest, on the other hand because of good job prospects.)
  • 2 学习外语，一方面可以开阔视野，另一方面也能提升竞争力。 (Learning a foreign language, on the one hand broadens horizons, on the other hand enhances competitiveness.)
  • 3 一方面，我们要努力工作；另一方面，也要注意身体健康。 (On the one hand, we must work hard; on the other hand, we must also pay attention to health.)
  • 4 这个项目一方面能带来利润，另一方面也面临风险。 (This project, on the one hand brings profits, on the other hand also faces risks.)
  • 5 他一方面答应帮忙，另一方面却迟迟不行动。 (He, on the one hand promised to help, on the other hand delayed taking action.)
