Usage

在口语中,列举多个事物时,在每个事物后面加上“”,用于缓和语气、表示列举未完或自然停顿。通常每个列举项后都加“”,最后一项可加可不加。

In spoken Chinese, when listing multiple items, add '' after each item to soften the tone, indicate that the list is not exhaustive, or create a natural pause. Usually '' is added after every item, and the last item may or may not have it.

Examples

  • 1 我们买了苹果、香蕉、橘子,好多水果。(We bought apples, bananas, oranges, and many other fruits.)
  • 2 平时我喜欢看看书、听听音乐、写写日记什么的。(Usually I like reading, listening to music, writing diary, and so on.)
  • 3 他家里养了猫、狗、兔子,像个动物园。(He has cats, dogs, rabbits at home, like a zoo.)
  • 4 周末的时候,我常常去逛街、看电影、和朋友吃饭。(On weekends, I often go shopping, watch movies, and eat out with friends.)
