Definition

在疑问句末尾使用语气词“呢”，可以起到缓和语气、使问题听起来更委婉、亲切或非正式的作用。

The particle 呢 (ne) is used at the end of questions to soften the tone, making the question sound more polite, casual, or friendly.

Usage

“呢”常用于疑问句末尾，尤其是当问题可能显得直接或突兀时。常见于特殊疑问句（包含疑问词如“谁、什么、哪里”等）和选择疑问句。在是非疑问句中一般不用“呢”，而是用“吗”。例如：“你怎么去呢？”比“你怎么去？”语气更柔和。

呢 (ne) is often used at the end of interrogative sentences, especially when the question might seem direct or abrupt. It is common in wh-questions (with question words like who, what, where) and alternative questions. It is generally not used in yes-no questions (which use 吗). For example: '你怎么去呢？' is softer than '你怎么去？'.
