吗是汉语中用来构成一般疑问句的语气词，通常放在句子末尾。

"吗" is a modal particle used in Mandarin Chinese to form yes/no questions, typically placed at the end of a sentence.

Usage

将陈述句的句尾加上“吗”即可将其转变为一般疑问句。例如，“你是学生”变成“你是学生吗？”。

By adding "吗" at the end of a declarative sentence, it becomes a yes/no question. For example, "你是学生" (You are a student) becomes "你是学生吗?" (Are you a student?).
