乡村；村庄；居民聚居的地方。

Village; a rural settlement; a place where people live together.

通常指农村地区的小型居民点，也可泛指乡村。常与‘城市’相对使用。

Usually refers to a small settlement in rural areas; can also refer to the countryside in general. Often used in contrast to 'city'.

1 这个村子很小，只有几十户人家。 (This village is very small, with only dozens of households.)
2 他出生在一个偏僻的小村庄里。 (He was born in a remote small village.)
3 村里的老人喜欢在树下聊天。 (The elderly in the village like to chat under the tree.)
4 城市和农村的生活有很大不同，但我觉得住村里更安静。 (Life in the city and countryside is very different, but I think living in the village is quieter.)
5 为了保护古村，政府出台了很多政策。 (To protect the ancient village, the government introduced many policies.)
