爽常用作形容词，可修饰心情（如爽快）、天气（如凉爽）、味道（如爽口）等；也可作动词，如“爽约”表示失约。
Shuang is often used as an adjective to describe mood (e.g., shuangkuai), weather (e.g., liangshuang), taste (e.g., shuangkou), etc.; it can also be used as a verb, e.g., shuangyue meaning to break an appointment.
