Định nghĩa

连词，表示虽然、尽管，引导让步状语从句。

Conjunction meaning 'although' or 'even though', introducing a concessive clause.

Cách dùng

用于转折复句的前一分句，表示承认某一事实，后一分句提出相反或出乎意料的情况。通常与'但是'、'可是'、'却'等连用。

Used in the first clause of a concessive compound sentence to acknowledge a fact, while the second clause presents a contrasting or unexpected situation. Often used with '但是', '可是', '却', etc.

  • 1 虽说天气很冷，但他只穿了一件薄外套。 (Although the weather is very cold, he only wore a thin coat.)
  • 2 虽说他学习很努力，可是成绩并不理想。 (Even though he studies very hard, his grades are not satisfactory.)
  • 3 虽说这部电影评分很高，我却觉得一般。 (Although this movie has high ratings, I think it's just so-so.)
  • 4 虽说她很有才华，但是性格过于内向。 (Although she is very talented, her personality is too introverted.)
  • 5 虽说事情已经过去了，但我心里还是有些不舒服。 (Although the matter has passed, I still feel a bit uncomfortable in my heart.)
